Product Range
The
Oven Door Bakery produces an extensive range of traditional real
breads and hand crafted cakes and pastries on the premises.
Bread
The
majority of the breads produced are made using a 24 hour ferment
dough to improve flavour, texture and keeping qualities. This
is nothing new to baking, this method of production has been used
for many hundreds of years and gives that exclusive flavour of
how bread used to taste. This method of production is generally
not used in large plant bakeries because of the time scale involved,
hence the lack of the traditional flavour.
Cakes & Pastries
Our
range of cakes and pastries are made in small batches to ensure
freshness that only a craft baker can offer. The range includes
lardy cakes, iced buns, Chelsea buns, doughnuts, pies, and muffins,
and so the list goes on!
Sandwiches
A
full range of sandwiches and filled baguettes are available throughout
the day, made to order with a vast selection of fillings including
our renowned cooked hams sourced locally and baked in our oven.
To compliment this we offer a range of pasties, quiche, sausage
rolls and salads to suit all tastes, including vegetarian.
Celebration Cakes
The
Oven Door Bakery offers a complete celebration cake service for
every occasion including wedding cake consultation for the big
day, through to fun novelty cakes with your photographs scanned
onto edible icing.
